A new investigation found that documents were falsified to hide Roman Abramovich’s wealth and evade tax. Accounts signed off by Deloitte in Cyprus meant superyachts, mansions and private jets worth $672m (£508m) vanished from his company accounts. Deloitte also appears to have advised on a scheme to avoid a huge tax bill on the oligarch’s wealth. A financial services law expert called it straightforward tax evasion, so should firms like this be held accountable?
