Tens of thousands of security personnel have been deployed and roads barricaded in Delhi to stop the latest Cockroach Janta Party protest, and the party says leader Abhijeet Dipke is among dozens detained. Dipke started the party almost as a joke after India’s Chief Justice Surya Kant likened jobless youngsters to “cockroaches,” but it has since tapped into anger over unemployment and exam paper leaks. Its last major protest in July saw v!olent clashes and forced the education minister to resign, and today’s protest calls for electoral reforms and the resignation of India’s election chief. Do you think protests like this can really change things? Delhi #India #CockroachJantaParty #AbhijeetDipke
