The find is in the Mnazi Bay area in the south of the country, and Energy Minister Juma Homera marked it at a ceremony at the Kasa 1X ST2 well. The well is jointly owned by state owned TPDC and French oil firm Maurel & Prom, with the discovery estimated at 223 billion cubic feet.
